A Community Space
We oversee the Honesty Library on Level 2 of Castle Quarter, at the top of the spiral staircase. Open between 10am-4pm Tuesday to Saturday it is a place where you can donate, swap and take out books or simply relax and unwind in one of our comfy chairs.
The Honesty Library is a relaxed community space where you can sit and have your lunch, read a book or meet a friend. The space is unstaffed but we host regular events and activities from there such as our £1 clothing Sales and Upcycling Workshops. See What’s on for upcoming events
Need a venue?
The space is also available for third party organisations who need a city centre location to host events or meetings. We offer two booking options:
1) Community Table – Groups, individuals and organisations can book an area of the Honesty Library for free ensuring that the rest of the space is fully accessible to the general public and the Honesty Library is left as you found it. You can hire the space between the hours of 10am-4pm on Tues-Sat. Charitable donations welcome.
2) Exclusive Use – Groups, individuals and organisations can book the Honesty Library exclusively for a charitable donation of £45 per half day (9.30am-1.30pm or 12-4pm) or £60 for a full day between the hours of 9.30am-3.30pm on Tues-Sat. This includes access to a hot water urn, teas, coffees, sugar, milk, mugs and spoons on request.
