

Smart Wear Scheme
We offer a range of smart clothing for men and women—completely free for anyone who needs it. Whether it’s for a job interview, wedding, funeral, or court appearance, we’re here to help.
To make a request, just pop into the shop or contact us at hello@new-ultd.co.uk. Please make sure you include a brief description of what your looking for and the size needed.
We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice so we can find the most suitable items for you.
Honesty Library
This welcoming community space filled with shelves of donated books for anyone to swap, borrow, or buy. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy your lunch, read, or catch up with a friend. The space is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am–4pm.
If you needs a venue for a meeting or event, we offer free use of our community table, exclusive use of the space is available for a small donation.


Upcycling Activities
We’re committed to reducing textile waste and supporting mental health and wellbeing through creative, hands-on activities. Our upcycling sessions are open to all ages, skill levels, and experiences—offering a chance to slow down, connect, and give clothes a second life.
Join us for one of our regular sessions in Norwich or Cromer. You can also book us for private group workshops or community events.
£1 Pre-loved clothing sale
Our Sales offers affordable fashion for all. You’ll find rails filled with hundreds of quality pre-loved items, including dresses, jeans, menswear, and children’s clothing all just £1 per item.
Thanks to funding from the The Ellerdale Trust, children’s clothing is currently available for free. Through our referral scheme, adults can also choose up to five items completely free, no questions asked. Please contact us on hello@new-ultd.co.uk to arrange a collection.


Work Placements
We offer individualised work experience placements to unemployed adults aged 18+ in our Norwich store. Our flexible and supportive environment is designed to help individuals gain confidence and employability skills to progress towards work, education, training or further volunteering.
Volunteering
Our main mission is to support individuals through structured work placements, however we always welcome reliable volunteers to help with mentoring, pop-up events, and upcycling activities.
If you can offer a few hours of your time, you’ll become part of a supportive, flexible, and friendly team—dedicated to the success of New-U and its charitable aims.
