We had a fantastic day at the Healthy, Happy, Safe event, organised by Opening Doors – a user-led charity run by and for adults with learning disabilities in Norfolk.
Opening Doors does incredible work supporting adults with learning disabilities to make their own decisions and lead happy, healthy and safe lives, with support from people they can trust.
We loved seeing so many people with learning disabilities, families, supporters and organisations coming together to learn, connect and have fun.
Throughout the day, we were delighted to offer some hands-on upcycling activities, with visitors creating colourful rag rug flowers and transforming old T-shirts into reusable tote bags. It was wonderful to see so much creativity and enthusiasm!
We also met some lovely people, had some great conversations, and even got to say hello to the event’s four-legged headliner, Hector the disabled doggy
A huge thank you to Opening Doors for inviting us to be part of such a welcoming and inspiring event. We had a brilliant time and hope everyone else did too!
